For me it has definitely been The Batman. There's no secret that I'm a big time Batman fan, so I'm always excited for another version of the character. I love the dark detective version that we got here. I think this movie dealt with the complex nature of Batman to a length that hasn't been done in prior movies. Batman walks a really fine line in this movie and it isn't always clear if he's going to be able to hold it together and come out on the right side. I liked that tension. I'm honestly not very excited about the possibility of another iteration of Joker, especially what I saw of this one (though the cut scene they released earlier this year was much more intriguing). The Batmobile and the chase scene is this movie was top notch. One of my favorite scenes to watch in theater in a long time.
I didn’t love The Batman. I did need to rewatch it. Batmobile was awesome. But it tried to do too much and for such a long movie it really didn’t do anything.
For me, out of 2022 ,it has been Kimi. Thought Zoey did a great job and love a thriller movie.
